[Many photographs of the artists themselves, mostly at work, received with this collection were removed by AAA staff and placed in AAA's Photographs of Artists Collection One, reels 439-441, and subsequently cataloged separately].
REELS 1174-1179: Photographs of New York City WPA free art classes, including students at work; children at work; children's art work; New York City WPA art exhibitions, including children's art exhibits; children's festival at Central Park, August 1938; general art exhibits; art exhibits of black artists; exhibits by the handicapped; educational exhibits: branches of the NYC FAP: photographic division, poster division design lab, scenic design and model making, home design workshops, Seamen's Institute, and restoration department; and people involved with the FAP in New York City. Washington state FAP art galleries, art work, men at work, people, miscellaneous interiors; federal and community art centers; techniques and processes of art; National Art Week; the WPA building at the World's Fair; WPA-FAP functions; WPA Federal Music, Theater and Writers' Projects; Civilian Conservation Corps Camps training school; WPA murals and construction at airports; metal work; locations of WPA art; building exteriors; and miscellaneous and unidentified photos.
