Summary: The scattered papers of Hélène Sardeau measure 0.4 linear feet and date from circa 1930 to 1954. Found are biographical material for Sardeau and George Biddle, drawings and four sketchbooks, and photographs of Sardeau and her works of art.
Hélène Sardeau (1899-1969) was a sculptor in Croton-on-Hudson, New York, and France. Sardeau was married to muralist George Biddle, the administrator of the Public Works of Art Project.
Donated in 1970 by George Biddle, Sardeau's husband.
