The photographs of Bali document a wide range of Balinese life and culture including: landscapes, architecture, dance and musical performances, religious rites and festivals, market scenes, agriculture, and art.
People depicted include Archipenko's wife Angelica, and Archipenko himself from his time at Mills College.
Many photographs have handwritten captions, presumably written by Archipenko.
