Description: In short entries, dated June 24 through September 14, 1903, Pach writes of his voyage from New York City to Haarlem, Holland, on the "Potsdam", describing shipboard activities and fellow passengers.
He continues with entries about classes with William Merritt Chase, activities as a tourist and student, and mentions numerous companions, especially [Nina E.] Allender, [Alice] Corson, [Frank Russell] Wadsworth, and [Ernest] Zell.
He records criticisms from Chase, trips to Amsterdam and London, visits to galleries, and reactions to the works seen at various places.
