Jervis McEntee Diaries

Sunday July 20, 1873

Jervis McEntee Diary Entry, Sunday, July 20, 1873, from the Jervis McEntee papers, 1850-1905, in the Archives of American Art, Smithsonian Institution

Sunday, July 20, 1873- One of the most beautiful of days, still, cool and rich in color making me wholly satisfied with life. Fred Norton and his wife dined with us and after they had gone Mary, Sara, Marion, Calvert and I took a ride out on the Flat-bush road nearly to the church crossing over and returning by the Saugerties road. Wrote to Gertrude.
