Jervis McEntee Diary Entry, Friday, March 21, 1873, from the Jervis McEntee papers, 1850-1905, in the Archives of American Art, Smithsonian Institution
Friday, March 21, 1873- Nett Sterling brought me tickets for Miss Faithfuls readings at the Steinway Hall last evening. It rained but I went and found no one there but Miss Faithfull. After a little Mrs. Bullard and Mrs. Moullon came and then Nett Sterling & Miss Bragg. Alltogether there were not more than fifty people, but it was decided that we should all sit in the front seats and that the readings should go on. Nett sang three times and Miss Faithful read her selections and alltogether it was quite pleasant.
