Sunday, Sept 7, 1873- Mary, Sara, Gertrude and I took a ride this afternoon around by Steep Rocks and the river road and to home by the Flat-bush road. I wrote to Whittredge and told him if he came to Shokan I thought I would join him in at least two weeks. John Olmstead, Mary & Marion go home tomorrow, and we to Church's.
