Jervis McEntee Diary Entry, June 20, 1874, from the Jervis McEntee papers, 1850-1905, in the Archives of American Art, Smithsonian Institution

Saturday, June 20, 1874- Spent the day in trying to ward off a headache which I did by sitting with my feet in hot water for more than three hours. Vaux, Julia, Marion and Lory Stoddard came up by the Powell. I went to the village (Strand) in the morning to deposit my check from Mr. Jones and to buy some tools.
