Jervis McEntee Diaries

Friday January 10, 1879

Jervis McEntee Diary Entry, Friday, January 10, 1879, from the Jervis McEntee papers, 1850-1905, in the Archives of American Art, Smithsonian Institution

Very cold. Went to the dentists at 9 1/2. The rest of the day I spent in my room doing various things, reading Gertrudes letters and being very near her again as I always am when I read her loving words. Dined at Eastman Johnsons and spent a very pleasant evening. Sent my small November (12 x 20) to Utica -- price $300. Received a letter from Alice. They got home early and without fatigue. Am going home tomorrow by the 8 o'clock train.
