Calvert and I attended the commencement of Columbia College this morning sitting on the stage with the faculty. This afternoon I have painted and this evening dined with Gifford and spent the evening there. Hall dined there also. Saw Laurence this morning and offered to let him have my upper room if he wished it. Is to let me know. Mary went to Rondout yesterday and took Marion. Sara went to Boston.
