Rained all night and early in the morning wind changed to N.W. and has blown a gale all day. Finished the gentlemans apartment. Put up the stove. Colored fires in the woods in the evening. Wrote to Weir. Walked on the tote road. Preparations for the Leycesters departure tomorrow. A clear beautiful evening promising a fine day tomorrow.
