Saturday February 12, 1881

Jervis McEntee Diary Entry, February 12, 1881, from the Jervis McEntee papers, 1850-1905, in the Archives of American Art, Smithsonian Institution

Saturday, Feb 12, 1881 Rained very hard. Went to the dentists early and had a tooth filled. Went home by 11 oclock train. The river was covered a foot deep with water over the ice. Rode over on the stage and Maurice met me at the Mansion House. Went home greatly depressed. Heard of the death of Aunt Mary, John Swans wife.
