Wednesday October 19, 1881

Jervis McEntee Diary Entry, Wednesday, Ocotber 19, 1881, from the Jervis McEntee papers, 1850-1905, in the Archives of American Art, Smithsonian Institution

Wed. Oct. 19- Blowing from the N.W, Katahdin white with snow and with fine clouds and storm effects about it. The men walked up to the carry to get some things we left there. Shortly after they left Cary and Reynolds came down in their birch from the carry bringing us some pickerel and white perch. They returned after an hour over the rough and windy lake. Watt Daisey and Tim Reed returned from up the river. As Eastman has to go in tomorrow they remained over night so that he could go down Millinoket stream in their bateau. Too windy to do anything.
