Monday September 19, 1881

Jervis McEntee Diary Entry, September 19, 1881, from the Jervis McEntee papers, 1850-1905, in the Archives of American Art, Smithsonian Institution

Monday, Sept 19, 1881 It has been a hot day with the air full of smoke from burning forests. I boxed the little wagon for Sedgwick and Girard is to send it tomorrow. Sade and I are going to Boston tomorrow via Hudson and have to catch the 6.35 ferry boat. Wrote to Booth. The President is very low again today.
