Sunday April 9, 1882

Jervis McEntee Diary Entry, April 9, 1882, from the Jervis McEntee papers, 1850-1905, in the Archives of American Art, Smithsonian Institution

Sunday, Apr 9, 1882 Took the horse and wagon and Jamie, Sedgewick and I went down to the Steep Rocks for a couple of sweet briars to set out on dear Gertrudes grave. I have had a bad cold with a most irritating cough and sore throat and Sara is giving me medicine for it. The weather was pleasant until toward night when it grew colder.
