Jervis McEntee Diaries

Tuesday October 30, 1883

Jervis McEntee Diary Entry, October 30, 1883, from the Jervis McEntee papers, 1850-1905, in the Archives of American Art, Smithsonian Institution

Tuesday, Oct 30, 1883 Henry worked on the drain leading it down through the garden. Have been at work nearly all day in my studio after marking Booths boxes. It cleared off and the wind has blown from N. W. not cold, with fine effects and an occasional squall and rainbows. Wrote to Booth sending him a list of the contents of the boxes and also at his request in a letter from him this evening, a statement of the account between us. Irving made his debut at the Star Theatre last night and was very successful apparently.
