Sunday, Jan 11, 1885 Had my breakfast in my room and took the 10 oclock West Shore train for home arriving there at 1, a very pleasant and fast train. Found Calvert and Mary Waldo there. Calvert came home by the Hudson River road this evening. It was snowing when he left but turned to rain and rained violently all night and until nearly noon.
