Jervis McEntee Diary Entry, February 2, 1888, from the Jervis McEntee papers, 1850-1905, in the Archives of American Art, Smithsonian Institution

Thursday, Feb 2, 1888 A beautiful morning, 7 above 0 but bright and exhilarating. I came to N.Y. by the noon train.. Girard came with me and went to Fred Nortons. I went directly to see Wilmurt about my frames and he is to come tomorrow morning and talk it over with me. After dinner I went up and called on Mr and Mrs. Deforest and staid there until 10 oclock. Then I went to the club. Ward came in and we talked of Wyoming where he has been hunting this summer at the time I was there.
