Jervis McEntee Diary Entry, June 28, 1888, from the Jervis McEntee papers, 1850-1905, in the Archives of American Art, Smithsonian Institution
Thursday, June 28, 1888 A rainy day. Bowyer was married this evening at 7 o'clock in the Episcopal Church in Kingston after which they went off somewhere for a time. Mary, Sara and Marion went up in one carriage and Calvert, Harry and I in another. John Olmstead came on from Boston but arrived at the church to meet them coming out after the ceremony. He came to our house in the evening but went down to the Mansion House to spend the night where he said he had left all his clothes spread about his room. It has rained all day and been so cold as to be uncomfortable in the evening.
