Jervis McEntee Diaries

Sunday August 11, 1889

Jervis McEntee Diary Entry, August 11, 1889, from the Jervis McEntee papers, 1850-1905, in the Archives of American Art, Smithsonian Institution

Sunday, Aug 11, 1889 We have had a perfect day with brilliant air and a cool delightful temperature. Calvert and I went over the ground carefully and have revised the plan on entirely new lines and arranging it so that it will probably sell more readily and for more money. John McEntee came up at 5 o'clock and we went over the ground with him, discussing some points but in the end we were all three in entire accord. We now think the whole plan settled. Downing will come up the last of the week and run out the view lines and make a map. It is too cool for comfort this evening.
