Scope and Contents
The papers of G. Alan Chidsey measure 1.0 linear feet and date from 1912 to 1979. The papers document his role as a trustee for the Marsden Hartley estate through correspondence in regards to inventorying, exhibiting, and selling Hartley's works; legal documents outlining his appointment and duties as a trustee of Hartley's estate; clippings, exhibition announcements, and catalogs related to Hartley's works; and photographs of Hartley and an album of Hartley's works. Also found are three clippings scrapbooks compiled by Chidsey.
