Scope and Contents
The papers of Golda Lewis measure 2.1 linear feet and date from 1950-2004. The records document Lewis's career through personal and professional files, printed material, and photographs. Personal and professional files consist of biographical summaries and resumes, correspondence, sketchbooks, audio and video recordings of Lewis, gallery papers, and artist statements. Printed materials include solo and group exhibition catalogs, announcements, posters, and invitations; newspaper clippings from the United States and abroad; and press releases. Images include photographs, slides, negatives, and transparencies of Lewis and of Lewis with friends, artists, and family, and of her artwork and exhibitions.

Immediate Source of Acquisition
The collection was donated in 2006 by Golda Lewis via Judy Michael, executor of Lewis's estate.
