Summary: Screenplay for a documentary film biography of Belgian painter and instructor Jan Cox. Produced by Cinete pvba, Belgium, under the name of "Jan Cox, a Painter's Odyssey".
Painter Jan Cox lived in Belgium and Holland from 1919 to 1949. For the next twenty years he worked and exhibited in the United States . For part of this period he taught at the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston. In 1969, he returned to Belgium, where he remained for the rest of his life. Cox was involved in the Jeune Peinture Belge and COBRA.
Contact with the donor was made by Adriaan Raemdonck, executor of the Jan Cox estate.
The screenplay is in Flemish with an English abstract and partial translations.
