Summary: An interview with William Gropper conducted 1974 May 11 by Ann Uhry Abrams at Emory University. Conducted as part of research for Abrams' Ph.D dissertation, "Catalyst for Change: American Art and Revoluation, 1906-1915".
Gropper discusses art classes as a youth in New York, the 1913 Armory show, and working for the New York Tribune as a young adult. He recalls Robert Henri, George Bellows, Man Ray, Alfred Stieglitz, Max Weber and others.
