The residents of Red Wing, Minn., may not be all together sure who they have living quietly near their rural community. But in Europe Charles Biederman has long been admired as an artist and he is winning greater recognition now in the U.S., too. In 1952 the artist coined the term "Structurism" for his works; and he has attracted attention in artistic circles through his influential book, "Art as the Evolution of Visual Knowledge."
