Identification on verso (typed): Marshall Fredericks; born at Rock Island, Illinois, now lives in Birmingham, Michigan. Studied in Cleveland, Munich, Paris, Rome, London, Stockholm, Cranbrook. Pupil of Carl Milles. Taught at Cleveland and Cranbrook. 38 months in the U.S. Air Force. Has won innumerable awards, including the Fine Arts Medal of the American Institute of Architects. Commissions completed on buildings and monuments throughout the midewestern and eastern area. Represented in scores of public and private collections. At present working on Cleveland Mall War Memorial Fountain and Ohio State University Student Union Building.
