Sarah M. Baker (1899-1983) was a painter and educator in Washington, D.C.. Baker studied at the Maryland Institute of Art and the Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts, and continued her education in Europe. She was a longtime faculty member at American University in Washington, D.C..
Sarah M. Baker donated her papers to the Archives of American Art in 1978.
