Sunday November 30, 1873

Jervis McEntee Diary Entry, Sunday, November 30, 1873, from the Jervis McEntee papers, 1850-1905, in the Archives of American Art, Smithsonian Institution

Sunday, Nov 30, 1873- Wrote to Whittredge this morning and to Mr. Moore asking him to pay me by the first of January and offering to deduct $50 from the price of the Wood interior if he will. Maurice, Gertrude, Julia Vaux, Alida Van Dansen and I took a nice sleigh ride after dinner out on the Flat bush road, crossing over to the Saugerties road. It was cold with every indication of an approaching snow storm. The sky was very beautiful. This evening I wrote to Alice Sawyer. Am reading Revans Life of Jesus again. I read it once before but not with sufficient care. I am much interested and find my ideas of Jesus strongly confirmed.
