Jervis McEntee Diaries

Tuesday February 9, 1875

Jervis McEntee Diary Entry, Tuesday, February 9, 1875, from the Jervis McEntee papers, 1850-1905, in the Archives of American Art, Smithsonian Institution

The weather grows colder and colder I did not feel very well and so concluded not to go to Eatons funeral. I painted on my Mistletoe. Sara came in a little while. Dined in my studio and after dinner called on Frank Thurber and Robt Hoe Jr to get them to come to the meeting at the Academy on Friday night. Came home and wrote to Gertrude from whom I got a more cheerful and encouraging letter with regard to Maurice this morning. Received a note from Girard which I answered.
