Jervis McEntee Diaries

Monday June 21, 1875

Jervis McEntee Diary Entry, Monday, June 21, 1875, from the Jervis McEntee papers, 1850-1905, in the Archives of American Art, Smithsonian Institution

Finished trimming my hedge this forenoon. After dinner made a sketch of a little girl who came here begging from Stony Hollow, which will be very useful in my landscapes. If I had a studio I would try to get these little figures very often. Gertrude and I called at the Lindsleys and at Mr. Clarks and then drove to Kingston. Received notice from Wilmurt that my frames would all be sent to my room today.
