Jervis McEntee Diary Entry, Friday, March 17, 1876, from the Jervis McEntee papers, 1850-1905, in the Archives of American Art, Smithsonian Institution
St. Patricks day and as usual mud and storm. I went up to Eastman Johnsons in a snow squall and came back in broad sunshine. In the evening had a meeting of the Committee on the Constitution of the Academy in my room. No one present except Greene, Lambdin and I. Were occupied until midnight but finally agreed upon all the amendments which if adopted will internally restore the constitution to its original form.
