Jervis McEntee Diaries

Thursday February 15, 1877

Jervis McEntee Diary Entry, Thursday, February 15, 1877, from the Jervis McEntee papers, 1850-1905, in the Archives of American Art, Smithsonian Institution

Booth came today after noon. It is his last day. We decided to get what we could of Ruy Blas. Henry came and dressed him and I pitched in and by five o'clock had completed a very nice little figure, one of the best I have done. I shall have to work at the expression but the figure is about done. In the evening we went to Robt. Hoe Jr's to tea and spent the evening. He has the China mania and has his house filled with things of this sort.
