Awoke with a headache again and felt badly all day. Painted on a little winter picture I began last year "A snowy evening" and made a very nice little picture of it. In the evening called at Pinchots and spent the evening. Hurlbut had made an ample retraction in the World and he had dined with Reid since I saw him. Reid told him of receiving a note from me and I showed them Reids note.
