Worked on the screen which I finished, cleaned out the shop and the carriage house. Very warm with a strong S. W. wind. Received a letter from Vanderbilts private secty declining to do any thing for Mrs. Cross. Letters from the Bachelders. Osman & Laura left for Hillsboro via Albany, Montreal & Quebec.
