Saturday, Dec 27, 1884 Am not going home today to my regret. Bowyer is going up by 6 o'clock train. The weather continues cold and there is good sleighing in the city. Have painted all day on my large picture and have it about done. My canvas came and I prepared it and on Monday mean to begin my winter picture looking down on the town from my room at home.
