Tuesday May 20, 1884

Jervis McEntee Diary Entry, May 20, 1884, from the Jervis McEntee papers, 1850-1905, in the Archives of American Art, Smithsonian Institution

Tuesday, May 20, 1884 Have been helping Sara with the work about the house. The man finished the papering of the sitting room tonight. Tomorrow he will put up the moulding and the border in the parlor and all will be done. The painter will probably be a day longer. A letter from Weir wanting me to come to New Haven and speaking of our loss in very sympathetic terms. Cousin Rachel came tonight.
