Some of the correspondence dates from the Dorothy Goldeen Art Advisory, the art consulting service that opened in 1996 after the gallery closed, on the subject of acquiring artwork for private clients.

The bulk of the printed materials consist of Dorothy Goldeen Gallery press releases, exhibition announcements, and reviews. There are also newsletters and clippings related to the art world presumably collected for reference. There are brochures for the Dorothy Goldeen Art Advisory, the art consulting service that was established after the gallery closed. There is one commercially released videocassette of a news program about the art world.
Printed materials are arranged by document type. Several disbound binders of chronologically arranged clippings, reviews, and exhibition announcements from the Dorothy Goldeen Gallery are at the beginning of the series. Folder titles in parentheses indicate the original title was retained.
