Sculptor Henry Lion (1900-1966) worked mainly with bronze and was active throughout California. Born in Fresno, California, Lion studied at the Otis Art Institute and with Stanton Macdonald-Wright. He participated in the Works Progress Administration Federal Art Project. Additionally, Lion wrote Sculpture for Beginners.
