The papers of illustrator Hilda Preibisius date from 1936 to 1960. Found are illustrations, clippings, and slides. Of note are four illustrations by Preibisius from Birds Were Different Then, by Engracia de Rosado.

Immediate Source of Acquisition
The papers were loaned to the Archives of American Art by Hilda Preibisius in 1964 and were returned after microfilming.
Existence and Location of Originals
The originals were returned to Hilda Preibisius after microfilming.
Processing Information
The collection was microfilmed on Reels LA02 and LA04 and was returned to the Hilda Preibisius after filming. The microfilm was described in a finding aid by Jayna Josefson and the microfilm was digitized in 2024 with funding provided by Smithsonian Collections Information System (CIS) IRM Pool Fund.
