Scope and Contents
The papers of sculptor John Frederick and art critic Mary Horgan Mowbray-Clarke measure 0.4 linear feet and date from 1887 to 1965, with the bulk of the material dating from 1887 to 1925. The collection consists of scattered biographical material, professional and personal correspondence, writings and notes, business records, printed material, and artwork. Some material relates to the Sunwise Turn Book Shop operated by Mary Horgan Mowbray-Clarke.

Immediate Source of Acquisition
The collection was donated in 1964 to 1968 by William Wilson, whose relationship to the Mowbray-Clarkes is unclear.
