Series 2: Correspondence, circa 1922-1997

Correspondence includes letters from his dealer and partner, Elaine Wechsler, letters and postcards from Clay Spohn to Hultberg and his second wife Lynne Drexler, correspondence from Martha Jackson, whose gallery handled his work, and is with various public museums and galleries, several of which were in California and Hawaii. Also included is correspondence with universities and personal friends, including Claire Falkenstein and Louis Calcagno. There are also drafts of Hultberg's own letters, written from periodic residences in Paris, San Francisco, Hawaii, and Monhegan Island, Maine.

Also included are collected poems, Hultberg's three act play Disfigured Night (1992) and works by others.
