The papers of painter Margit Beck (1918-1977) measure 0.6 linear feet and date from 1956 to 1975. The collection includes scattered biographical materials, personal and professional correspondence, and printed material.

Margit Beck donated her papers to the Archives of American Art in 1977.
Existence and Location of Originals
Researchers should note that much of the collection consists of photocopies. Margit Beck's early career material was destroyed during a storm when her studio flooded.
