Scope and Contents
The Martha S. Iredell scrapbooks date from 1934 to 1953 and measure 0.2 linear feet. The collection comprises two mixed media scrapbooks relating primarily to the Norfolk art community and its artists with particular emphasis on the Norfolk Art Corner and the Norfolk Museum of Arts and Sciences.

Immediate Source of Acquisition
The Martha S. Iredell scrapbooks were donated to the Archives of American Art in 1982 by Lela Hine of Norfolk, Virginia. Hine's relationship to Iredell is unknown.

The scrapbooks were microfilmed on reel 3622 after receipt. The collection was processed and a finding aid prepared by Jayna M. Josefson in 2022 with support from the Smithsonian American Women's History Initiative.
