He baptized the artist Whistler, married Dr. Parker when he took a second wife- named also Mr. Perkin's mother and baptized him when a baby. Mr. Perkins was born in 1858 and was about 2 years old when this photo was made." An accompanying newspaper article "Portrait of an Artist", Sunday Herald, Jan. 24/43, was donated with the photograph.
