The scattered papers of watercolorist Naomi Brotherton date from 1953 to 1981 and measure 0.4 linear feet. The bulk of the collection consists of printed material. Other papers include biographical material and correspondence with arts organizations and institutions.

Immediate Source of Acquisition
The papers were lent for microfilming on reel 2901 as part of the Archives of American Art's Texas project and portions were subsequently donated in 1982 by Naomi Brotherton.
Separated Materials
Material loaned for microfilming, including photos, certificates, awards, a scrapbook, and printed material, were returned to Naomi Brotherton after microfilming on reel 2901 and are not described in the container listing.

The collection was arranged and microfilmed upon receipt on reel 2901. Portions that were subsequently donated were processed, and a finding aid prepared by Jayna Josefson in 2022 with support from the Smithsonian American Women's History Initiative.
