Jervis McEntee Diary Entry, February 13, 1873, from the Jervis McEntee papers, 1850-1905, in the Archives of American Art, Smithsonian Institution

Thursday, Feb. 13, 1873- Mr. Hurlbert called again today and was inclined to take my October in the Kaatskills for $1500 but of course did not come to the point. His wife is to come again and perhaps if they do not take one of W. T. Richards at $1000 at Goupils they may take mine. I can't cope with Knoedler in selling. We dined at Platts with Mr. & Mrs. Frank Chuney, Miss Chuney and Mr. Goodman.
