Biographical/Historical Note

Nancy Goldring (1945- ) is an American artist working in New York. Raised in St. Louis, Missouri where her father was a professor of cardiology at Washington University, Goldring attended Smith College, receiving a BA in art history in 1967. She spent a year in Italy on a Fulbright fellowship and was later enrolled in the MFA program at New York University. She has been teaching at Montclair State University since the early 1970s.
