Her career and personal life are documented through biographical material; personal and professional correspondence; writings; project and exhibition files; printed and digital material; scrapbooks; artwork; and photographic material. Notable correspondents include Lawrence Alloway, Robert Lax, and Leo Steinberg.There is a 0.4 linear foot unprocessed addition to this collection donated in 2020 that includes printed material, artwork, correspondence (emails, handmade cards), poetry, photographs of friends and family, and misc. Materials date from circa 1967-2020.

Nancy Goldring donated her papers to the Archives of American Art in 2015 and 2021.
