Toshiko Takaezu papers, circa 1925-circa 2010

Organization files document Toshiko Takaezu's long relationships with museums, galleries, universities, colleges, organizations, and art schools across the country as well as in Japan. As such, there is a mixture of exhibition files, project files, teaching files, and gallery records in this series. These records document exhibitions, workshops, commissions, conferences, fellowships, and donations of artwork. Sometimes the files are about one event or exhibition, but other times files for an institution might span several years, such as Princeton University where Toshiko Takaezu taught for over two decades, and consequently there might be a wide range of materials in the folders. Files may include correspondence, inventories of artwork, loan and consignment records, sales records, price lists, exhibition lists, printed material, photographs, and other material.

The material in this series is arranged in alphabetical order. Organizations have have a large amount of related materials have their own folders, otherwise they are in the alphabetical "Miscellaneous" folders.

The bulk of this series has been digitized. Materials which have not been digitized include blank pages, blank versos of photographs, and duplicates. The Princeton University student rosters also have not been digitized. In some cases, exhibition catalogs and other publications have had their covers, title pages, and relevant pages digitized.
