Jerre Murry (1904-1973) was a painter in Southern California. Murry was born in Columbia, Missouri, and studied at the Detroit Academy of Art. He was influenced by Stanton Macdonald-Wright to relocate to Los Angeles and participate in the Works Progress Administration, Federal Art Project. He remained in California where he exhibited his paintings and taught art classes until his death in 1973.
